You’re always welcome to create some family pictures at your newborn photo shoot. It’s not obligatory of course, not everyone is feeling the love for the camera after a few days of limited sleep but the offer is there if you want to.
If you’re on the fence, I’d always say go for it. The wonderful thing about photos is that they are just that – photos. If you don’t like them, you never have to look at them again but you can’t recapture the moment once it’s gone.
There’s lot of ways of getting involved in your photo shoot form just including your hands in the photos with your new baby, through to creating a more traditional family portrait and they’re all equally lovely ways of capturing with your newest family member. This demi-silhouette shot is a lovely one if you’re looking for something a little bit different and also if you’re not feeling entirely camera ready. The style of it means that most of you will be in shadow but I think it demonstrates beautifully the new family that you have become so it really is the best of all worlds.
