When I know that I’m going to have newborn twins in the studio, I do get a tiny little bit nervous and of course more than a tiny bit excited.
I’ve been photographing newborns for a lot of years and I’ve had a good share of twins in the studio over that time but there’s always something a little bit daunting about getting two babies to agree to sleep and pose at the same time. Also, it’s an incredible opportunity and privilege to capture those very early days and I always want to make sure that I don’t miss any opportunities.
So these two gorgeous little new folk came to visit and I was well prepared with tons of ideas – one of which their parents specially requested was to get them both into my little nest. I’m not going to lie, the first two attempts didn’t go well – each time I tried, one of them decided that an urgent need for food was on the horizon. Still the third time was truly the charm and we got them nicely snuggled together in there – there’s a real babes in the wood vibe about the dark colours I think.
